Cartridge : Cor-Bon .40S&W 135 grain +P JHP
Firearm : Recoil-operated handgun with 4.6" barrel length.
Calibration : 8.9 ± 0.05cm and 592 ± 0.500 ft/sec impact velocity.
Shot 1 impacted at 1310 ± 0.500 feet/second, penetrated to 9.4 ± 0.031", and expanded to 0.634 ± 0.0005" average diameter.
Shot 2 impacted at 1322 ± 0.500 feet/second, and exited the side of the block at 7.5 ± 0.031". Bullet was not recovered.
Shot 3 impacted at 1317 ± 0.500 feet/second, penetrated to 9.1 ± 0.031", and expanded to 0.587 ± 0.0005" average diameter.
Shot 4 impacted at 1328 ± 0.500 feet/second, and exited the side of the block at 10.0 ± 0.031". Bullet was not recovered.
Shot 5 impacted at 1305 ± 0.500 feet/second, penetrated to 9.1 ± 0.031", and expanded to 0.613 ± 0.0005" average diameter.
All rounds fired experienced full expansion and severe fragmentation, with jacket pieces found along the entire length of the wound track, at a maximum radial distance of ~0.75".
