Cartridge : Various .22lr from NAA 'mini-revolver'.
Firearm : NAA Mini-Revolver with 1 1/8" barrel length.
Calibration : All depths corrected (from 9.5cm @ 583 ft/sec), except where noted.
Impact velocities were not recorded for this firearm as all shots were fired from distance of 4" from the face of the block. This distance was decided on because it is typical of the range that this firearm is designed to be used at.
Block used was cast into an emptied and cleaned orange juice carton. As such, it's dimensions were (8.3 x 3.9 x 3.9)".
Shot 1 : Aguila SniperSubSonic 60gr lead roundnose. Penetrated 7.9" of gelatin and 3.0" of polyester bullet arresting box. Apparently yawed at 3" penetration, but righted itself (or turned base-forward) at ~5". No expansion, but moderate bending of bullet about its radial axis (the bending and the track in the block indicate that yawing took place).
Shot 2 : Federal 36 grain (Load # 745) JHP. Penetrated 7.9" of gelatin and was found next to bullet arresting box. Bullet dented the cardboard walls of the box. No expansion present.
Shot 3 : Aguila SE 38gr subsonic lead hollowpoint. Penetrated 7.9" of gelatin and was found next to bullet arresting box. Bullet dented the cardboard walls of the box. No expansion present.
Shot 4 : Remington '22 Golden Bullet' 36gr plated hollowpoint. Penetrated 7.5". No expansion present.
Shot 5 : CCI Quik-Shok (Load # 00064) 32gr pre-fragmented bullet. Upon impact with the block, bullet fragmented into three pieces with deepest penetrating fragment going 5.3", the second going 5.2" and the third exiting the block at 3.3" penetration (this fragment was not recovered). No correction formula was applied.
Shot 6 : CCI Shotshell (Load # 0039). Shot fired into side of the block, with deepest penetrating pellet found at 2.1". Approximate diameter of wound cavity was 0.5". No correction formula was applied.
