.351 Winchester Self-Loading
The .351 Winchester Self-Loading rifle cartridge was introduced in the early 1900's and chambered in the Winchester Model 7 semi-auto rifle.

This cartridge offers higher velocity than a .357 Magnum cartridge in a rifle, while using a 180gr bullet of 35 caliber. Although ammunition for this caliber is now considered to be 'obsolete', it is still commercially available from specialty ammunition retailers in FMJ and soft point. Using soft point bullets, this cartridge would be an outstanding replacement for a handgun, while not being as destructive as a medium-caliber rifle. It is, in effect, a forerunner cartridge of the modern assault rifle.
