The .380ACP handgun is among the most powerful cartridges available in the pocket-sized handgun market. Also referred to as the 9mm Short, it is possible to locate ammunition for this caliber that both expands and exhibits adequate penetration depths.
If greater penetration is desired, non-expanding FMJ bullets are, of course, readily available for this caliber and provide 30 percent greater frontal surface area than a .32ACP FMJ.
