.50BMG
The .50 Browning Machinegun cartridge has been in service with the US and other Free World militaries since 1921, providing reliable service in the anti-aircraft and light armor penetration roles.

In the recent past up to today, private-sector innovators have popularized the .50BMG as a long-range competition cartridge. While not the best choice for the task, it is also possible to hunt dangerous game with the .50BMG, due to outstanding bullet penetration depths when using steel-core ammunition.
