Cartridge : Handloaded 750 grain Hornady A-Max Firearm : Spider Firearms 'SuperComp Ferret50' .50BMG bolt action rifle with 32" barrel length. Calibration : 8.1 ± 0.05cm and 568 ± 0.500 ft/sec impact velocity. Impact velocity = 2517 ± 0.500 ft/sec. Bullet traveled point-forward, creating a permanent cavity of 2.0" diameter until 7.8" penetration depth. At this point, the bullet turned sideways, completely separating the aluminum tip section from the lead core and copper jacket, creating a permanent cavity of 7.5" diameter until bullet exit at the back of the block at 16.0" depth. Exit hole at back of block was 2.8" in diameter.
