.260 Remington

            The .260 Remington is a .308 Winchester case, necked down to fire 0.264” diameter bullets.  Introduced by Remington in 1997, the 6.5mm bullets offer higher ballistic coefficients than the .308 Winchester bullets.  This is advantageous for long range shooting, as the bullet is less effected by aerodynamic drag.
