.32NAA

The .32NAA cartridge consists of a .380ACP case, necked down to accept .32 caliber bullets.  Generally intended for use in a pocket-sized handgun, the smaller caliber bullet propelled by the larger caliber powder charge regains the muzzle velocity lost by the short barrel lengths typically found on these types of firearms.

In general, using a .32NAA cartridge in a firearm designed for .380ACP gives you two distinct advantages : effective terminal performance (given a moderately expanding bullet) and increased feed reliability (due to the smaller bullet and the ‘bottle-necked’ shaped of the .32NAA cartridge).  All that is necessary to convert most .380s to .32NAA is a new barrel.
